Do you notice something about this picture of the “Don’t Die” dinner hosted after SynBioBeta last week? Women have left the chat— Is the longevity space ignoring the biggest consumer group for health, wellness and anti-aging?! Not to mention the ladies are already living longer 👀 In the USA alone Women are paying roughly 15 BILLION more each year for healthcare, 18% more specifically in out of pocket spending/year (excluding pregnancy related expenses!!) We also can’t miss the approx. 600 billion dollar beauty industry that is becoming more and more about proprietary anti-aging R&D! @bryanjohnson we need to tawk

I feel you, in some ways I feel like longevity is just men experiencing societal pressure to consume in the wellness/anti-aging space in a way that has already been forced on women for decades. On the other side I know how valuable it can be to have women represented in any sort of health/therapeutics modelling early on and how bad it can be when that diversity is missed and everything is based on one group. Women’s health is already so far behind in basic things like stroke detection, don’t want it falling further behind.
