I assume your post was inspired by this? https://www.yahoo.com/news/ai-solves-superbug-mystery-two-151504455.html We knew for decades that the technological singularity was coming, we knew even how it would happen (broadly), but seeing this accelerating pace of innovation happening in our lifetime is quite something. Google’s Co-Scientist and Microsoft Muse are giving us a glimpse of how it’s going to play out — when AI starts conducting primary research (instead of secondary like LLMs)… and eventually starts iterating on itself to vastly outpace us
