I’ll say it again: Ultimately, every path converges on robotics. Scalable. Adaptable. Collaborative. This is the future.

Bunnie Huang gave an awesome talk at a hacker camp I was at a few years back about the insane edge that human biology has over robotics in factory settings, and it was really interesting. He had a video of a woman in a factory with a chopstick widely outpacing a pick and place machine at dropping components on a circuit board. Obviously pros and cons, but the talk was largely meant to call out the under-appreciation of human skill that seems mostly prevalent in the US. Robots are awesome, and skilled humans operating robots are going to be next level. Never forget how optimized human biology is for adapting on the fly to new and unexpected situations. Definitely a thought-provoking concept, I think about it a lot.
