UK government plans to designate crypto assets as a new form of ownership A corresponding bill was submitted to parliament. It aims to identify crypto assets, NFTs and RWAs. There are two categories of property in the country: “things in possession” (gold, money, cars) and “things in action” (debts, shares). If the new law is adopted, it will introduce a third type of property.

MakerDAO announced it is renaming itself "Sky" As part of the rebranding, a new stablecoin USDS and a governance token SKY will be released. They will be available on September 18th with a new DeFi application. DAI and MKR will remain in circulation unchanged, and new tokens will exist in parallel. Token holders will be able to exchange DAI tokens 1:1 for USDS, and each MKR token can be exchanged for 24,000 SKY tokens.

CNBC: Wyoming plans to launch its own dollar stablecoin The project is called Wyoming Stablecoin and will be used for crypto payments in the state. Its release is expected in the first quarter of 2025. According to the publication, since 2018, Wyoming has passed more than 30 laws to support the digital asset industry.
