We teach our kids that love is one of the ingredients in our dishes.

thats awesome, i am sure your kids cook great as you two are always throwing down

they are 4 and 1 so mostly they just crack eggs that fall on the floor or at best gets in the bowl along with the eggshells. Its still fun though! 

But mostly we try to teach them to respect food and the people who make it.
