Tipping is so confusing these days in the states. A suggested 20% for everything you buy off of a POS system service related seems to be the right thing to do, but how does everyone feel about it. Personally I think service from a quality standpoint is at an all time low. Curious to see what you all think.

IMO, tipping should be abolished and we should instead price fair wages into the products we buy. That’s not the case tho, so I just tip 20% if tipping is an option.

Agreed, I remember when living in Australia I tipped a bartender having no idea it wasn’t a thing and he was offended 🤣

I was told tipping wasn't necessary in Europe. In the Netherlands, no one asked or said anything. In Germany, our server asked outright after we paid the bill... my mind was blown.
