It’s been said before, but this is a similar equivalent of when phone companies used to charged per text message, to when plans became unlimited due to infrastructure changes. Pretty soon you’ll say “back in my day we paid per transaction” and people will look at us as if we’re dinosaurs

Agree although cost needs to be picked up somewhere, which is ultimately born by users in one way or another, so the goal should be continuing to iterate the protocols to reduce gas fees.
