One of the worst features that Twitter has right now is to show liked tweets by accounts that you follow. It could be good but the way it is implemented it surfaces a ton of useless content. I just unfollow whoever liked a silly tweet, but I wonder if they had a better way of surfacing content, I wouldn't have to...

LinkedIn has the same feature. I'm sure it increases some metrics for some PM inside the company... At least for me, it showcases a lot of bad content....

also some people won’t like a tweet just because they don’t want a specific person to see that they liked this tweet. gotta prevent the preference cascade

IME, unfollowing the liker doesn’t send the same signal to the algorithm as using the “not interested in this tweet” option. Try that, maybe? I started seeing improvements after training it on about ~30 tweets. It probably wasn’t the best move for them to hide that option behind a dropdown menu…

Ditto on RTs. So often I go to the acc I flow and tap 'turn off RTs ' And also 'show fewer likes from X'
