is there opportunity for players like DeRozan and Durant to dominate midrange since most shots are in the paint or 3's, or is the defense is just so cut throat in that range that they're stopping all scorers there?

Tbh would be interesting to map out defensive position flows and how those get altered by new rules (no hand checks) and look for causality between where shots are being taken

Crazy to think that this is still the most skilled era of basketball. 3 pt range is still stretching so much further back creating so much space to get downhill and finish in the paint
