I’ve interviewed 100s of engineers at top companies, worked with 100s more. I am aware of the nuance and yet this heuristic still works near perfectly as a filter.

The highest signal is still the human factor

Like come on: I write some code, click a button in an app that’s running locally on my laptop, and two seconds later a text shows up on my phone — that’s fucking sick!
