One reason I like Farcaster: I don't think about my follower count

I'm not trying to build an "audience". I'd rather optimize for the quality of edges over quantity, ie. an actual network

I also like that the core team encourages this, by doing stuff like normalizing points to account for followers when determining rewards

Farcaster's focus on meaningful interactions over numbers is refreshing. It fosters genuine connections and community growth. It's liberating not to chase followers but to build a network where value and authenticity shine. This mindset is a game-changer in digital social spaces.
