I think the key is localized content curation & moderation. Ex: Facebook groups fragment people but the algo always shapes the discourse to maximize time spent in the app, resulting in less time exposed to other communities & perspectives.

Is there another way? After all we see what the desire to be fragmented, isolated leads to: Raw tribal ideological fights.

Exposure to different ideas, other ways of thinking is both repulsive and one of the best ways to grow (imo).

Farcaster provides a distribution-level knob by construction. I see that as a fantastic opportunity for a social-level knob to search a greater Pareto equilibrium point.

Let channels be tribes, watch the vibes rise

Agreed, looking forward to more distinctly different communities forming here. Will hopefully bring a lot more vibrancy, rather than one dominant  crypto conference dev vibe convo. Great essay.
