Very true. It’s at a breaking point now though and one party has become a personality cult. Even a member of scotus was flying MAGA flags around Jan 6.

The American presidency has slowly been eroding the constitution since Dick Cheney was VP. (Yes I know trumps words are on a different level)

Other presidents did it but more sneakily and on issues that were politically convenient for them
