Sam Harris just published the conversation that ended his friendship with Elon Musk. Musk lost a bet about covid, lashed out like a child, and is still attacking Harris on X regularly. https://open.substack.com/pub/samharris/p/the-trouble-with-elon?r=evxw&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false

Didn't realize it was paywalled. Here it is for anyone curious: https://spice-nova-190.notion.site/The-Trouble-With-Elon-17cc4e7a772380969fa2e4a3e385ece3?pvs=4 @yesyes

Thanks for the free link. What sam harriss has said in this article seems in line with what i have observed "The callousness and narcissism conveyed by his antics should be impossible for his real friends to ignore—but they appear to keep silent, perhaps for fear of losing access to his orbit of influence." I think this is very true. Not only are people in his orbit keeping silent but also those that are away from him by a degree of separation. Take the recent minor gaming fiasco for example, Elon musk was caught boosting his gaming account yet no one close to him made even a slight remark about it. If they are afraid to criticize him for something as simple as a video game then i wonder how bad it is when it comes to serious stuff.
