all the comments on youtube and twitter (that i can see) are about how strong of a leader he is

The tech elite is repackaging authoritarianism and grift as "freedom". 

Tech twitter & a large part of Farcaster is beholden to that elite (founders who want to stay in the good graces of pro-MAGA VCs).
