Started reading The Creative Act and love it so far. It's a perfect complement to The War Of Art, which frames creativity as a daily battle to prepare for. Develop grit, sharpen your blade, etc. Whereas Rubin approaches from the transcendental, spiritual angle.

I’ll have to keep listening a bit more. I always love his interviews, but the beginning was a bit out there for me

I have a feeling I wouldn't like it as much if listening to the audiobook & multitasking. Or even ebook. The hardcover has a lot of white space & page turning to prompt you to reflect, which helps make it sound less woo woo.

Yesss. The physical book just feels great and the spacing and simplicity really emphasizes the feel of the content.
