I used it at times quite excessively and it works really well. That said, I feel like you gotta be in a very unique and persistent mood for it to work. Eg now I just sit down and grind for 5 hours straight, but I have months/weeks when it isn‘t that easy and then Pomodoro is great for keeping pace

Personally it has never stuck with me. But I do use the general principle of use rest/play or exercise in between period of work. How long the period can be depends on person, on the day, on the mood etc.

It works and don't be hesitant to move on to the next project throughout it, if the first one doesn't move you

I use it when I don’t want to do something and keep distracting myself. Usually boring, thankless work that requires some grinding. Helps to chunk work and make it clear when I’m slacking. I’ve also used it for memorizing when studying Japanese. The intervals help with recall.

Allows you to just not overwork yourself. But it doesn't work if you're already overworked and tired, only a vacation will help
