Introooducing Transitive Trust, an improved way to calculate and propagate trust in p2p reputation systems! 🔥 It builds off a few limitations we believe exist with EigenTrust and other existing systems. We'd appreciate your feedback! /eas /ethereum Enjoy the read! https://mirror.xyz/0xeee68aECeB4A9e9f328a46c39F50d83fA0239cDF/GLCRxzd7Y68_lWNnLxk4FG20sOWDwcQE_stQt6V7y1Y

Murtaza, your presence here is greatly appreciated. People made fun of Google+, but it was great network for sharing thoughtful perspectives. Its fate demonstrated the risks of centralization. I've been looking for a 'read, write, own' network, and was saddened by all the NFT/meme coin hype on Lens. As writers like you engage here, it serves as a powerful attractor for others in building something more valuable than that. Thanks, too, for demonstrating the read inline feature and ability to integrate comments with Paragraph too. For those of us looking for a new home for our writing, that's compelling.

It's time to start advocating for C2PA’s authentication standard as a way to ensure the integrity of society's imagery. This should be a great use case for blockchain-based provenance. https://www.theverge.com/2024/8/21/24223932/c2pa-standard-verify-ai-generated-images-content-credentials

It's incentives all the way down. We're overly focused on the extrinsic. Intrinsic is where the magic happens.

What do you “see” when you imagine an apple? For some, it's as vivid as seeing the real thing. These people have hyperphantasia. For others, the mind is completely blank. This is aphantasia. https://www.quantamagazine.org/what-happens-in-a-mind-that-cant-see-mental-images-20240801/

"The hard work, however, is in the middle: finding meaningful metrics to identify the [Open Source] projects that will become the big ones of the future or the keystone species in their ecosystem." Using data science to analyze the field OS. Great stats in this interesting write-up by @cerv1.

I asked Perplexity about the difference between #degen and #regen: Degen: * High-risk approach * Short-term focus * Profit-driven * Zero-sum mentality Regen: * Sustainable approach * Long-term perspective * Impact-driven * Positive-sum mentality * Holistic view * Environmental focus Agree or not?

We moved to CoordinApe as the TEC's simplified and tightened up our operations. But Praise is a powerful tool for a non-extractive culture. I hope we can reactivate TEC Praise again - maybe by pointing it outward to the broader token engineering community. I also think it should reward with reputation, not $.

Glad you liked it too, Stella. It's interesting thinking about the whole digital twin idea in this context too.

Interfaces simplify our connection to complexity. The most powerful interfaces today are corporate brands and AI is making them increasingly personal, malleable, and powerful. https://www.asomo.co/p/ai-corporate-personhood

Analyst sees demand for Ethereum ETFs at 20-25% of Bitcoin. Why? ETH ETF issuers don't stake, so unlike ETH holders, no yield. Ethereum has more on-chain utility than Bitcoin, which ETF investors can't access. https://cryptoslate.com/spot-eth-etfs-could-see-25-of-the-demand-of-btc-counterpart-bloomberg-analysts/

We just pushed a whole bunch with the Token Engineering Commons' Praise attestations - 2+ years worth over the last week. We're learning about gas limits and getting the right sizes in data packets. Attestations are going to be critical coordination infrastructure going forward.
