I would be curious what you think the Farcaster culture is at the moment and how it's incompatible?

2) The other issue is with incentives. People used to join mainly for the open graph, crypto features, and the great group of ppl personally invited by Dan. Now more ppl join to farm memecoins, and you get airdrops by being very active which has so far mostly resulted in crazy amounts of spam.

Got it. It's interesting to see what the data is showing, and I wonder what the breakdown is by channel. Anecdotally, there are channels I don't bother to read anymore because they became overrun with shilling. But there are others which are art/music focused which still seem like genuine interaction.

I did also start analyzing top performing casts by channel and some are def better than others, but without all the Warpcast filtering, at the protocol level it's still a mess. Outcasters was about trying to give people a good overview of the culture as a whole, with a focus on visuals.

Oh! Yeah I misunderstood the context. I think if you're at the protocol level I'm not surprised it's weighted towards spam and engagement farming.

Yea and the people developing the protocol and infrastructure are saying, "this is normal" when in reality, it's not true because there's a difference between typical spam and CIB (Coordinated Inauthentic Behavior). But I understand why they want to turn a blind eye to all of that.
