Sad to see a channel as truly global and universal as /music, gatekept.

I meant: music is universal, and yet a channel dedicated to it is only available to 645 people to cast in? I would get it if it was a brand or band trying to focus on fans, but a general music channel being gated seems... weird to me. If the goal is to interact with /music via tunecaster, I would recommend a bit more guidance to that end right in the channel description.

Two things to keep in mind: 1. Channels are not permissionless like the Farcaster protocol. To join, you need to earn an invite from the channel owner or one of the mods. Typically, this involves engaging with casts in the channel. Both myself and the mods in /music are very active, so we will notice when someone is genuinely participating. 2. Tunecaster does not currently onboard new users to Farcaster. All users come from Warpcast for now, but there are plans to reduce signup costs in the future, which may make it easier to onboard users directly through Tunecaster. We鈥檙e also waiting for Warpcast to improve the channel membership request and invite flow. I believe @viybz sent you an invite

I fully understand. The reason I posted under DWR is because it's not really /music I have an issue with, you are just running a channel under the current rules and doing your best. But /music is a perfect example of something I think is a bit off here in terms of access. I don't post about music that often, but when I do, the natural spot to do it where I can share and chat with other music lovers is here... And yet I can't (couldn't?). It's a bummer and I think it's negative to the space. I don't have the answer, but hopefully the smart people building this app can include this in their calculus and figure it out. That's my piece. Thanks for replying and nothing but love on my end.
