What do you all think about Reddit paywalls? I am pro. I think both Reddit and mods should have the ability to a) monetize and b) keep bots and scrapers out if they want It’s unclear how the feature will work as of now and I reserve the right to change my opinion if they don’t cut in the volunteer mods https://gizmodo.com/reddit-ceo-says-paywalls-are-coming-soon-2000564245

Last time I casted about this, it seemed like they weren’t totally clear on the direction. I haven’t watched the latest earnings video, but I think the idea could work if they figure it out without pushing existing users away. If content is placed behind a paywall, it could hurt SEO and lead to a loss of search traffic. On the other hand, a paywall might improve content quality, similar to how Farcaster addressed spam by making channel membership invite-only. I think Reddit should run the experiment sooner than later since Google/YouTube are coming in hot with similar ideas https://warpcast.com/ghostlinkz.eth/0x28287600 https://warpcast.com/ghostlinkz.eth/0x43ea1502
