Don't buy farcaster accounts. You might get rugged. 

They were designed to be easy to use in a social app, not to be traded like nfts. Some tradeoffs we made will make it harder to trade them safely. 

For example, someone can set a recovery address, transfer the account to you and reclaim it back a few hours later.

I've said that FarMarket is cool in the past but this cast from V seemed like a big warning. Is the security risk genuine? I prefer we openly educate users and reach a public consensus.

It is possible to implement trading safely. 

It is hard for users who do not understand solidity to know if an implementation is safe. Even for solidity devs, it would take time and effort to figure it out. 

So, only deal with marketplaces you trust to be a) honest and b) write bug free solidity

I assume this is a general warning and not based on you examining the FarMarket code and losing confidence afterward?

Fair enough, in that case, good looking out! 

I think there is value in trading FIDs but I need assurances before getting involved. Like right now WC shows that I have 1 connected wallet but Searchcaster says I have 2 and devs are using this info. These inconsistency scare users and they don't try new apps.
