Interesting read. Do we think Kickstarter still has a chance to integrate with blockchain technology, or have they truly been left in the dust culturally? https://fortune.com/crypto/2024/03/11/kickstarter-blockchain-a16z-crypto-secret-investment-chris-dixon/

I would suspect the regulatory environment would make that operation difficult for a centralized entity. I suspect we see a crypto crowd funding platform, but it won’t be kickstarter.

My understanding is that the issue stems less from regulation, but rather from the fact that Kickstarter users and employees were not supportive of crypto.

The innovators dilemma. I suspect a crypto based solution could operate much leaner so employees have good reason not to support either. These things are inevitable and people will fight.

The company already let go of 40% of its employees, so whatever backlash was coming has already played out it seems
