Interesting read. Do we think Kickstarter still has a chance to integrate with blockchain technology, or have they truly been left in the dust culturally? https://fortune.com/crypto/2024/03/11/kickstarter-blockchain-a16z-crypto-secret-investment-chris-dixon/

My big takeaway from this is that incumbent brands have too much to lose by trying to adopt crypto (lots of existing users complaining / churning) Means more opportunity for new cos that can cater more throughly to crypto natives without having the baggage of convincing an existing customer base (mostly web2)

I feel like as a platform and a brand they have some sway, but from a technical standpoint, smart contracts make them obsolete. But they can still operate in fiat 🤷‍♂️

I would suspect the regulatory environment would make that operation difficult for a centralized entity. I suspect we see a crypto crowd funding platform, but it won’t be kickstarter.
