Warpcast's spam problem is out of control. It's far worse than Twitter, making it difficult to justify building anything on Farcaster. Will give priority mode another try, but that just hides the problem.

This was with priority off. When I initially used priority mode, I noticed that I was missing some legit notifications so turned it off for that reason.

And if you turn it back on, do you still see spam? Most people have priority mode on, so not an issue for them.

I just turned it on again so will see how that goes. Have others reported missing legit notifications when using priority mode? Some of my frustration also stems from having to curate casts for the /music channel from a very spammy unfiltered feed.

1. From people you follow + power badge, not that I'm aware of; from legit users who you don't follow + who don't have the power badge, well that's the trade off of priority mode 2. Warpcast isn't going to invest in filtering tools for channels. Opportunity for @airstack.eth or @automod.

1. Spam is the biggest threat to growth for FC. Channels have potential but are being held back by spam. We also can’t claim that the client ecosystem is healthy, it’s still just WC running the show. So not sure how we get to billions of users.

The biggest threat to Farcaster is not growing retained daily active users. Everything else is solvable. Spam is a solved problem with priority mode on. Channels improving rapidly with @airstack.eth and @automod Client ecosystem is as good as it's every been. @supercast making good progress.

I guess we don’t see things the same way. Maybe you have better info but most of the data is public so we should be close. I do not benefit from being pessimistic. I’m just sharing my honest opinions and experiences.
