The conservative right is at least consistent and predictable and can potentially be negotiated with - Tech Right will flip flop constantly to whatever has short-term profit.

Oh... I didn't even get into how deductibles are flipped. In the US you pay a lot for your initial medical visits, and it goes down as you hit your deductibles... but in Australia it's the opposite. You pay more after your 12th visit or whatever.

I was talking to a colleague about her son studying public health and different countries systems. She was under the impression that countries like UK, Canada & Australia pay way more for healthcare and it's just not true. In Australia you can rely on the public health system, but if you want better service you can purchase private health insurance. When I lived there I would spend less than $2K annually (my partner spent nearly twice as much for the best) and you get tax breaks for private. If you don't have private insurance, you'll be fine, you just won't get as good service. In the US last year I had $17K deducted from my pay for private insurance. If you don't have private insurance you can go bankrupt. I don't think Americans realize how much more they're paying for similar or worse service.

Breaking the window is specifically difficult in the cybertrucks. Firefighters have been trying to train on them and are having a hard time.

Yeah, it's confusing because it also says that Koreans work long hours and work more than people in Japan, USA, UK, Germany, etc. I did wonder if overtime maybe wasn't included in the statistics... or if people are working a lot more than they're putting in their timesheets (this happens a lot in the US). Maybe it's other factors contributing to low dating rates... housing costs, gender ideology, etc? These sorts of issues tend not to have a simple answer.

Ahhhhhh, Hind. I was super joking. Squid Game is a fictional show on Netflix about people risking their lives to play games for money. It's a statement on how much capitalism takes from us... which I think includes South Korea's declining population (ie, housing is too expensive, people are working too much to have babies). It was a multilayered joke that did not land. Sorry!
