Can't believe we fumbled covid dining sheds so badly. The diversity of style, the takeover of the pavements, the reclamation of the streets. Felt so joyfully human. Yes, they weren't perfect. Unsafe, nor as hygienic, and noisy to neighbours. But just to go straight back to boring rivers of cars. Booooo

Massive agree. They were so atmospheric and really enhanced the local community. The chance of seeing someone you know walk past and have a quick catchup was great. Very sad to see all that disappear.

So much this. To see fellow humans out and about and not tucked and hidden away. So nice! Now the streets are sterile again.
