I don't enjoy saying this, but there's a significant amount of spam and bots inflating the protocol stats. Don't take my word for it, examine the data. Perhaps we should start saying active "accounts" rather than "users."

All about perspective I guess. Fortunately, with FC, the data is accessible to everyone for analysis, and we can draw our own conclusions.

I mean, I would also be cheerleading an inflated DAU if I was handcuffed to create the illusion of growth for my investors (and to incent developers to build)

I never would have put myself in that position in the first place, though!

I'd like to redirect my attention from the spam problem, but it's quite severe, and I'm surprised that not many ppl here seem interested in discussing it. I'm also concerned because beneath all the spam, this place is amazing, with many incredible people doing really cool things.
