Had to thing through the OpenAI’s social network ... a few thoughts 👇 

1/ it is not really a social network - it’s a step towards everything app. But does it make sense? 🤔 

2/ On the surface, it is pretty similar to what Musk tries to do with X, just from the other direction. It’s a natural progression with more than 500M users to toy around with distracting ideas. (remember Google Plus?)

3/ On the other hand, I believe there are many ways to make expansion of ChatGPT into social layer natural as the app handles more and more activities for the user. 

AI = Aggregator of Tasks = Aggregator of Power
Meaning that AI, by design, becomes a horizontal layer that sits across all verticals:

- You use the same assistant to help you write emails, plan trips, generate content, code apps, summarize articles, and even talk to your friends.
- That assistant starts to become your interface to the internet — and if it’s good, you stop caring where the underlying services come from.

OpenAI's potential social network could change the game and AI as a horizontal layer makes sense, but what about user control?
