Sprained my disc doing a deadlift and playing football later on. Bed ridden for the next week or so FML 😭 https://media1.tenor.com/m/eMfgtebsg1EAAAAd/feels-bad-man-frog.gif

Reverse hyperextension is the best thing you can do to heal and strengthen against possible deadlift injuries. Wishing for a swift recovery 🤞

Thanks man! Surely I need to do more stretching/mobility and back strengthening exercises. 🙏

Cheaper than therapy, less boring than running marathons and takes less time :) It's a taxing exercise and risky if you don't know what you're doing but really good for your back, legs and overall strength. Also great way to increase, preserve bone density which is important as you get older.

I do supervised weights sessions 3 times a week but don’t kill myself with crazy heavy ones so I get all the benefits you listed and usually avoid the damage! The PTs are always pushing for higher but I just smile and go NAH

That's good! Supervised sessions or spotters help are always better. If I'm bad at an exercise I don't push myself and I mainly focus on form even if the weights are less deadlift is one such exercise but yeah even with less weights my form was bad that day.
