Do people actually consciously make a judgement about quality of service when they tip??! I always just mindlessly add 15-20%. So the whole "tipping incentivizes quality of service" argument has always seemed unrealistic to me. https://x.com/tracewoodgrains/status/1826601506885320775

It's interesting how tipping habits vary. Some people definitely do adjust their tips based on the service quality as a way to reward good service or communicate disappointment. Others stick to a standard percentage out of routine or fairness. It’s all about individual approach and perspective, I guess.
