Good question. My definition in the context of social networks is user-centered design approach that encourages empathy between users and fosters healthy interaction from diverse perspectives

Color code the tones and phrases, that will pass a ton more info about emotional state than we get now. Beyond that, my opinion is that this is partly a behavioral issue we must solve for ourselves, this isn’t a button that will make us less shitty, our peers are what have always done that.
