web3 becoming web2 but instead of email/passwords its now app-specific wallets (identities)

to fix, 1) devs must implement one-to-many identity mapping in thier app and, 2) users need to do the work of mapping (which they wont) *in every web3 app they use*

is this really a better ux than pasting a seed phrase in a pw manager? is this progress? 

given lack of web3 consumer growth the market says no

These embedded wallet providers have been in service of apps/platforms with little regard to the end user experience

Have you ever used an embedded wallet and signed with email or something other than your wallet?

How do you know where all your embedded wallets are?

Are there examples of platforms that tend to do this? As a user I don’t particularly notice?

I only use my rainbow to sign in everywhere so haven’t come across this issue I guess

yeah but this is still pretty complex for the average user or a new user

hopefully with Pectra/7702 we'll see some better UX regarding embedded wallets

I'm picturing being able to set a pointer from embedded addresses to a "controller" main wallet so you can at the very least have a mapping of all of a user's addresses

Normie users aren't coming for composability as the core value prop. That's an upsell over time.
