I think a lot more people will be willing to mint and collect stuff when it’s only $0.30 per mint

opposed to the .0007 eth (~$3) mint cost

I'm enjoying the "free" mints where you only have gas fees.  Zora has it so if you set your mint for free, you earn based on those gas fees.  Cheaper mints means more people will mint, more potential for it to add up.
