What's the best prize design for a contest with 100 entries?

If there was a $1M contest with 100 entries, how would you want the prize to be split up?  Winner take all?  10 winners? More?

Which ones?  I know a lot are like 50,25,20,5 but they're usually top heavy with like 1-10 winners

I feel like poker tournaments would be a good baseline for this 👀
