What does that even mean? 

Had this type of conversation with my gf and her family, they were curious about what I do, and I thought of going in this direction, but I just knew that it would mean nothing to them. Absolutely nothing at all.

How would you phrase the meaning here?

The future is about refining the way we transact with each other socially, and economically to make it easier for everyone in the world to be able to transact with anyone else across the world
