Just gotta get this off my chest: 

I don't want to make a living off of speculative value extraction.

Create value doing interesting shit that benefits everyone aligned with that value.

Sure it’s meaningful but i think it’s idealistic. Hype is often necessary to drive attention and prove value

Nothing wrong with speculation.

But if my financial security hinges on my ability to extract value from other people's speculation, then I'm out. 

I'm not here to drive hype so I can extract value from people's trust that I'm creating value to go with that hype.

I just want to create the value and skip the pump and dump casino games.

Is that distinction meaningful?
