If you want people to join your network, you should give them a lot of ways to potentially join Farcaster currently only has one way to join: Warpcast via mobile - Can't join via desktop - Can't join via another app without a Warpcast mobile workaround It's an open social graph but you can only join one way

wdym by the second part? i believe that is not true, e.g. you can create supercast account without a warpcast account

Ok I didn’t realize that but doesn’t that result in a pretty fractured experience for the user? 90%+ of the people on Farcaster have a Warpcast account so shouldn’t anyone get one by default if they join the network? At least until there’s sufficient scale for more clients

Well if you compare it to like, the Ethereum protocol - you have a seed phrase, you might create your seed on MetaMask. that doesn't automatically create a Rainbow wallet, you'd have to install the app and import your seed creating a Farcaster account on Supercast does give you the seed to your FC wallet that you can then import into Warpcast. In that way it's consistent and works like a protocol should. IMO the fractured experiences comes during SIWF, not during account creation - that's the layer that is Warpcast dependent
