Ethereum has made far too many “significant convenience sacrifices”

We all have way too many wallets

We’ve just traded one problem for another by making it easy for every app to spin up its own wallet for each user

Now we have our identity/assets/history fragmented across dozens of wallets 

Unfortunately, I don’t think enough wallet providers care about this problem for users

Wallets have contributed to ecosystem fragmentation as much as anything in Ethereum

It’s painfully difficult for new users to understand and use wallets efficiently. Wallets should be canonical at the protocol level

wallet addresses and a basic client with basic functionally that can be built on top of and extended 

the connect wallet functionality should be standardized to create better app experiences that are more uniform across the EVM
