We all have way too many wallets We’ve just traded one problem for another by making it easy for every app to spin up its own wallet for each user Now we have our identity/assets/history fragmented across dozens of wallets Unfortunately, I don’t think enough wallet providers care about this problem for users

I may have lost access to my Paragraph account because 1. I signed up with a wallet I don’t use by accident due to weird WalletConnect flow and 2. I can no longer find this wallet and am deeply confused about which one it even was. Bonus: in the process of trying to debug this I made like 3-4 empty fake Paragraph accounts yay 😀 haha 🤦🏼‍♀️

Not to shill what I’m working on but this is a big problem I have with embedded wallets and we’re working on solving it with sub accounts at coinbase wallet. The aim is to give you all the embedded wallet ux with the visibility and asset management features you expect from a universal wallet On testnet rn, but there is also an EIP eip.tools/eip/7895

to the level the imports are not allowed in one brand of say a trading bot from another, everyone want their own fresh wallets linked so probably they can track stats and claim/measure their progress, probably it's not possible with same wallet being imported and used just one example overall yes, many wallets + across different chains and platforms, only the strong will survive xD

I don’t post a lot of embedded wallet content on my personals but this rage bait got me good!! I care deeply about this (and about crypto UX generally) and so does the @privy team tackling it with global wallets last June was just the start and we’re here for any and all feedback — stay tuned

Yeah, it’s a mess. Too many wallets, too spread out. It’s easier to create them, but now everything’s scattered. Feels like no one’s really fixing it.

100% or they only support the same two chains with one novel one. We do @shapeshift and built a ton of account tools and out own wallet typescript wrapper. But man it's old and clanky and not enough open source contributors. We're working on something new that needs external tool calls to as many chains as we want and goddammit it's 2025. why are we like this?

This is how we understand decentralization at the moment. We think that the more tools we have, the more decentralized we are. Truth is that we're just fragmenting our world like you said. If we all could focus on collaboration with tools that are already created and maintained, we could create something truly decentralized and having a real use case.
