why? regions do intra scrims rather than against teams from other regions because of high ping

to the extent that crypto is like a game, you see this sort of regionalism here too, but it's language rather than ping that delimits

well for instance Latin America has seen strong grassroots adoption of stablecoins for remittances, etc. - there's an emphasis on practical financial use cases

Asia tends to gravitate toward centralized platforms, e.g. WeChat, Binance, and OKX with a strong trading culture

The Anglosphere and Europe like the speculation + theoretical research + decentralization combo, adopt experiments early like onchain social, onchain games, etc. 

that's all just anecdotally speaking, would be interesting to do a deeper dive into though
