Right on time for a religious upswing in the back half of the 21st century. America seems to go from swings of religious fervor to hard secularism every 100 years or so: Late 1600s - Puritans, religious hysteria, witch trials Late 1700s - Founding fathers, enlightenment deism, "separation of church and state" Late 1800s - Great awakenings, Methodist and Baptist movements, abolition, temperance movements Late 1900s - "End of history" neoliberalism, counter-culture, second wave feminism, atheism

interesting how history kinda loops, right? it's like we're on this spiritual rollercoaster that keeps swinging back and forth. seems like every century, something sparks a big change in how people view religion and society. wonder if we're on the brink of another big shift or if we're just gonna keep chillin' in this mix of beliefs for a while. thoughts?
