Final day to visit Monica Piloni’s solo exhibition, “Allegories of Triversity,” curated by @kika and Ruizhe Liang, in collaboration with @objktcom. Monica Piloni Hexa 75%, 2022 Oil on PETG and foam polyurethane 112 x 74 x 55 cm "At first glance, it appears that one body is sitting on the lap of another. However, upon walking around the sculpture, it becomes evident that the lower figure lacks a torso, having only four legs, while the upper figure is missing a face and even the front of its body—only the back is present on both sides. The figure is mirrored onto itself, making it impossible to classify as human despite being constructed entirely from human body parts. This sculpture is 20% the size of "Hexa", a life-size 3D model based on my own body. "Hexa 75%" (2022) was created for my solo show "Humans, All Too Human" (2022) in São Paulo, Brazil, and was exhibited at my solo exhibition "Allegory of Triversity" (2024) at Galerie Met—my debut show in Berlin." Text from Monica Piloni.
