In your mind, what single technical aspect has been the biggest mistake in EVM land that you would do away with and how would you solve that?

Not just EVM as I think that part is fine... I would decouple state root calculation / execution from consensus hot path. I think we screwed up consensus <> MEV and need to improve resilience stat.
