DnD is the OG RPG game. The Baldur's Gate series has always been the closest to the DnD tabletop experience in video game form. It gives the player agency in a rich world filled with complex characters, scenarios and stories. It doesn't play like a traditional video game.

The only other non-RPG game that gives the players this much agency in how to approach things that I can think of is IO Interactives Hitman series. Can't wait to see what they do with James Bond.
