I think Lens Protocol would be infinitely more successful if it embraced the Tumblr microblogging use case instead of the Twitter-like broadcast feed use case. The protocol already supports many different media types (video, image, audio, article, text, etc.), it should embrace this versatility for that purpose.

Wouldn’t that be up to the builders of the clients, not the protocol? What do you think the protocol needs to adjust to embrace this use case?

Most clients are built on top of Lens APIs which follow the twitter like pattern so most clients follow that pattern as well. Agree it's not about the protocol but about the APIs and the clients.
