I think that one of the appeals of memecoins is that by removing the scarcity and rarity of it all, it opened them up to spread wider and they don't have an exclusionary aspect to it.

Nouns have some of this due to their daily auction and CC0 design but they still have a very low supply.

Yet I find the idea of Nouns and auteur NFTs stronger since a visual and story telling brand is stronger.

That's why popular memecoins adopt imagery as well, such at the degen hat 🎩 and the OG memecoin dogecoin.
