1/ The plan for channels 1. We launched channels in June 2023 with /farcon and /purple. We've done a bunch of experiments since then. 2. We're optimistic about channels being *the thing* for Farcaster, i.e. why Farcaster is not just a decentralized Twitter clone 3. We're still rapidly iterating on channels...

2/ ...and we're moving in a slightly different direction than the original "channels are just a marketing name for FIP-2". https://github.com/farcasterxyz/protocol/discussions/71 4. Turns out channels need more native functionality like following, mods (we call them hosts), moderation and other future features...

3/ ...that we're going to be experimenting with over the next few months. 5. If if we get conviction on channels being *the thing* that drives growth for Farcaster, we'll work on codifying what we've learned from the centralized, Warpcast-centric version of channels into a decentralized Farcaster protocol version.
