Why are tech people generally so naive about political issues?

Is there a pervasive about the culture of tech that makes politics not interesting or worth learning about?

Tech is high paying because of its nature as a novel, technical thing requiring niche expertise and the US market for it has grown

Obviously a lot of people don’t built that expertise but people in tech seem unexposed to alternative perspectives on that?

I don’t think they are naive. I think they feel immune if they can just secure their bag.  They aren’t going to say much because VC money is fickle. What’s missing in my feed depresses me a lot of the time

In what ways would you say they are naive?

I think to have a true understanding of politics takes a certain level of cynicism that is unproductive to many people high up in tech
