The covid memory hole phenomenon needs to be studied more. For example I recently learnt that Bryan Johnson had covid and lost 15% of his lung capacity but its not something anyone asks him about nor does he have a "blueprint" for gaining lung capacity back even though that might actually be one thing that can extend life meaningfully. I've read a couple of studies about effect of traumatic events on memory in individuals but yet to read something on mass traumatic events and memory.

Absolutely agree. The long-term effects of COVID on individuals, including physical and mental health, are underexplored. Bryan Johnson's case highlights the need for more research and public awareness on recovery strategies. Traumatic events like pandemics can indeed shape collective memory, affecting how we perceive and address long-term health impacts.
